Introducing DEM TIMES
Our premiere fictional podcast that follows the re-education of British-born Ghanaian troublemaker Samuel Adjei in a Ghanaian boarding school
We all knew him in secondary school, the troublemaker, the black sheep, the one guy that just couldn't get anything right. In DEM TIMES, his name is Samuel Adjei, a British-born Ghanaian who can't seem to get the "disappointment to my family" tag off his back. Often nonchalant and laidback, Samuel could not have pictured his short vacation to Ghana turning into a permanent relocation. Instead of two weeks of fun in the sun with endless plates of jollof and kelewele, Samuel is left behind and enrolled into Onuakrom Academy, a strict boarding school where he is now faced with the daunting task of fitting in; every teenager's nightmare.
This series consists of 6 episodes where we are taken on the rollercoaster that is Samuel’s life. We see him struggle, we see him fight, cry and joke around but eventually, we see him grow and come into his own and we can’t help but smile when that happens. This coming of age story reminds us of our awkward teenage years and the struggles we faced, but it also reminds us of all the goodness and freedom that comes with being a teenager, and don’t we all need some warm nostalgic memories right about now?
